Michi is a fully qualified practitioner in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine belong to a system of healing called traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), which originated in China, but is now practiced in many parts of the world.

Traditional acupuncture is based on ancient principles first established nearly two thousand years ago and is still very widely used in China, Japan and Korea today. It regards pain and illness as indicators that the body is out of balance which it seeks to restore through a positive model of good health. In acupuncture, the physical, emotional and mental states are seen as interdependent - a system ideally suited to modern hectic lifestyles.

Chinese Herbal Medicine is one of the great herbal systems of the world, with an unbroken tradition going back to the 3rd century BC. It still forms a major part of healthcare provision in China, and is provided in state hospitals alongside conventional western medicine.

Michi practices at the Breakspeare Clinic in Milton under Wychwood, West Oxfordshire - easily reached from Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Warwickshire, including Banbury, Witney, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton, Burford, Charlbury, Chipping Campden, Broadway, Shipston-on-Stour and Bourton-on-the-Water.
